Entered into rest Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Westwood Nursing Home, Mr. John I. Teasley, Jr., 82, husband of Sibyl Smith Teasley.

Mr. Teasley was born in Lincoln County, raised in Oglethorpe County, but spent most of his life in Augusta. He served in the U. S. Navy at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during World War II. After the war he met and married Sibyl, his sweetheart of 62 years. Mr. Teasley spent most of his working career in the auto parts business. He was owner and operator of Tiger Car Parts Co. He was a member of the Fleming Lions Club, having served as president and was awarded the Melvin Jones Award for Outstanding Service. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church for 57 years and was a member of the Good Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Methodist Men's Club and also faithfully served as a board member and Sunday school teacher. The family would like to thank Westwood Nursing Facility for their special love and Fake Panerai Watches care.

Family members include his wife, Sibyl S. Teasley, daughters, Beverly T. Sprayberry (Ronnie) of Evans, Patricia T. Wood (Tommy) of Martinez; Son: John I. Teasley III (Connie) of Augusta, 7 grandchildren: John M. Sprayberry, David R. Sprayberry (Amy), Michael J. Sprayberry, Thomas A. Wood, Jr, Terri A. Buck (Anthony), Wendy T. Spinks (Jason), Alan W. Teasley; 10 great grandchildren, Allexis, Dylan, Casey, Dylan, Caleb, Madeline, Abby, John Noah, Emily, Jacob and the Charles E. Lee family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dane Wagner officiating. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2367 Washington Road, Augusta, GA. 30904 The American Cancer Society, 2602 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909
